Monsignor C. J. Donohoe Educational Trust

The Monsignor C. J. Donohoe Educational Trust on June 30, 2009, had investments of $114,999.33. This is used for Tuition assistance for St. Paul the Apostle School students who need additional help over what the Embracing Our Future Family Tuition Plan can provide. This year in late June, $3,150.00 in tuition assistance was awarded from the Monsignor Donohoe Trust.

    The Stewardship Covenant Scholarships

This year 15% of our school families at St. Paul the Apostle School and Assumption High School are utilizing our Stewardship Covenant Scholarships. This means that 50 of our families with 92 students at St. Paul the Apostle School and 24 students at Assumption High School and 3 students at Religious Education are the recipients of these scholarships totaling $205,798.37.

If families are currently giving a minimum of 2% of their income to the parish, and they are following the Stewardship Covenant which they signed, they are eligible to move their gift to 5% of income in July and receive 1/2 tuition at SPS and 1/4 tuition at AHS. They would be eligible to move their gift to 8% in July and not pay any tuition at any of our educational ministries including AHS.

The gift should be divided by the St. Paul’s Three Way Giving Plan. There is currently a moratorium on grades 7-12, which means that you should get in the program before the moratorium.
