Sales. Dead Island 2 sold 1 million units in 3 days since release. By May 2023, the game had sold over 2 million units. By May 2024, it had sold 3 million units.

To summarise – Dead Island 2 is around 25 to 30 hours long if you want to complete all of the story and side quests, and significantly longer if you decide to beat every challenge for 100% completion.

To host a Dead Island 2 multiplayer session, you can set it up immediately from the main menu by choosing to Continue Game and then setting the Game Type to one of the following: Public - anyone can join your game via matchmaking. Invite Only - only players you invite can join.

The Zombies jump out of doors are nasty. They jumpscare me and i play phasmo and demonologist. They're not hard. They catch you off guard, but it's not like you're in the heat of suspense and you're just waiting for something to happen only it doesn't until you least expect it.

Jacob is by far the best character to choose if you're just starting out, as he does just about everything at least a little bit well.

The only thing this game has that ties it to the original is the inclusion of Sam B. I can't think of a single element in the game that it has in common with the original. The worst change is going from big open maps to small tidbits.

Without going into plot details, there's a main story mission called Justifiable Zombicide which you'll need to complete in order to get guns to spawn. In fact, you'll get your first gun during this mission. Afterward, guns will begin spawning as loot in chests and given to you as quest rewards at times.

Dead Island 2 has a total of 24 Main Story Missions to complete, telling an action-packed story of your efforts to survive HELL-A and get out before it's too late.

It seems pretty odd that they would choose to not have drivable vehicles.. especially in LA. One of my favorite memories of Dead Island was driving around in the vehicles with my friends as well as just messing around with them. It seems a weird choice to not have drivable vehicles in dead island 2..

Dead Island 2 will have a co-op story mode for up to 3 players.
